Padayappa 4K version has collected an opening worldwide collection of ₹4.10 crore from its global collections on its release day. It was originally in the theatres on April 10, 1998.
According to the BFIlmy Official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Padayappa collected ₹3.15 crore from Tamil Nadu on its Day 1. The Rajinikanth starrer received around ₹32.7 lakh from Karnataka, ₹3.11 lakh from Telangana, ₹2.95 lakh from Puducherry, ₹2.80 lakh from Kerala, and ₹2.50L lakh from the Rest Of India on its release day.
